Making Websites That Work for Everyone
We understand what it's like when things are harder than they need to be, but your website shouldn't be one of those things. It should help people find you and understand what you do, and it should be as easy for you to manage as it is for your visitors to use.
We've been working in content accessibility for over 10 years, getting our start transcribing audio and captioning videos for d/Deaf and hard of hearing communities. Ready Sites came about because we wanted to go beyond the content itself to help people build fully accessible websites from the ground up.
We work with local businesses, churches, community organizations, and more. We build for people who've never had a website before, and for people who are frustrated with the one they have. We will talk through what you need, figure out what makes sense, and build something together that makes your life easier.

Our Design Philosophy
Every person we work with is someone who just wants their website to work better: for themselves, for site visitors, and for the people who manage it.
That's exactly what good design should do, and that's the Ready Sites philosophy in action. We believe something only works if it works for everyone, and we think building with that mindset leads to better results.
Accessible, easy-to-use websites make a real difference for real people, and we're proud to be building them right here in Longville!

Our Design Principles
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are internationally recognized standards for making websites accessible to people with disabilities. Developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the WCAG ensure that websites work for everyone.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard most commonly adopted by businesses and organizations. It's also the standard most commonly referenced in accessibility legislation, like Title II and Title III of the ADA.
What does this mean for your website? It means making sure that it has essential features, like:
-
Proper 4.5:1 contrast
-
Logical heading structure
-
Full keyboard navigation
-
Alt text for images
While these represent just a handful of the 50+ criteria we build for, following these standards creates websites that truly work for everyone., That principle is our guiding light here at Ready Sites.
