About These Terms
Ready Sites owns and operates readysites.studio. By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. You must use the website lawfully and may not send spam, introduce harmful code, or interfere with its operation. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian's permission to submit forms or book consultations.
Information on this website, including prices, hours, availability, and services, may change without notice. Consultations and estimates are free and do not commit you to purchasing services.
How our agreements work: Your signed proposal is the complete agreement for your original project. These Terms fill gaps where applicable without overriding signed provisions. A signed Website Maintenance Agreement governs ongoing maintenance alongside the original proposal. A signed Website Transfer and Acknowledgment governs the transfer of administrative ownership and ends previous service arrangements for that website once the transfer is complete.
These Terms and our published rates take precedence over unsigned fee sheets, outdated pricing documents, and informal discussions, unless a signed agreement provides otherwise.
Projects, Pricing, and Payments
All billable work requires a signed proposal or estimate before work begins. Electronic signatures are accepted, but email or text approval alone does not count as a signature. Reasonable revisions within the agreed scope are included. Additional work requires a new estimate and written approval from both parties; email approval is sufficient for these changes.
Design and development work is billed at $50/hour, including redesigns, new pages, features, branding changes, and work requested without an active maintenance plan. The price in a signed proposal or estimate controls the work it covers. Rates may change, with written notice to active clients before changes take effect.
Unless otherwise agreed, a 50% deposit is due at signing and the final balance is due at launch. Invoices are due within 14 days, and work may pause when an invoice remains unpaid for 30 days. We accept cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, and payments through our secure online payment page.
Clients pay domain registration, hosting, and other third-party costs directly to their providers unless otherwise agreed.
Discounts: Courtesy work is a one-time accommodation and does not establish future rates or obligations. Discounts apply only where stated. Current Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce members receive 50% off design and development work on proposals signed by December 31, 2026, excluding maintenance and third-party fees. Membership must be current at signing.
Maintenance and Support
Our Monthly Maintenance Package is $250/month for up to 10 hours, with additional maintenance hours billed at $25/hour. Unused hours do not roll over. Services include minor content updates, platform and app updates, troubleshooting, and repairs as described in the signed Website Maintenance Agreement. Redesigns, new pages, features, and branding changes are billed separately at the design and development rate.
Cancellation and renewal: Maintenance renews monthly upon payment. You may cancel at any time by notifying Ready Sites or simply not paying for the next month. No advance notice is required, and you will not be charged for future maintenance periods unless you renew. If payment is not received by the renewal deadline, maintenance pauses and the website becomes parked. Ready Sites may end maintenance with 30 days' written notice.
New websites, content refreshes, and platform migrations include 30 days of free post-launch support, unless the signed proposal specifies otherwise. This covers unlimited troubleshooting, fixes, minor content updates, and training questions, but not design changes or new pages. Free support ends after 30 days without carrying over.
When free support ends, you may enroll in maintenance, request a website transfer, or leave your website parked at no charge.
Website Ownership and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content, images, logos, and other materials you provide. Once all project invoices are paid in full, you also own your completed website and any original content created specifically for your project, excluding the reusable elements described below.
Ready Sites retains ownership of its reusable designs, layouts, templates, code, tools, and methods, including those developed during your project. We may reuse these elements in other projects without including your confidential information, proprietary content, or branding. We may also display your completed website in our portfolio and promotional materials.
You have a perpetual, nonexclusive, royalty-free right to use, maintain, and modify Ready Sites' reusable elements as part of your website, including through other service providers. These rights transfer with your website without additional permission from Ready Sites. Third-party apps, fonts, templates, images, and other licensed materials remain subject to their respective licenses and requirements.
Website Ownership vs. Administrative Ownership: Owning your website is different from being listed as its owner within Wix Studio. By default, Ready Sites remains the designated Wix site owner and provides you with administrative access during training. This allows us to manage your website when maintenance is active or keep it parked in our account when maintenance is inactive.
This administrative arrangement does not change your ownership rights. Paying for your completed website does not automatically move it into your own Wix account, but you may request that transfer at any time, including immediately after training.
Parked Websites and DNS Management
A parked website remains in Ready Sites' Wix account without active maintenance. This includes clients who decline maintenance, cancel it, or allow it to lapse. Parking is free, and your website may remain published as long as your domain, hosting, and required subscriptions remain active and you continue paying those providers directly. Ready Sites does not monitor, update, troubleshoot, repair, or otherwise maintain parked websites.
Your domain registration and hosting remain under your ownership and control. DNS may be redirected by you while maintenance is inactive. If DNS remains with Ready Sites, its existing configuration may stay in place without ongoing monitoring or maintenance.
Active maintenance requires Ready Sites to manage your DNS: If you redirect your DNS elsewhere, you must return DNS management to Ready Sites before maintenance can begin or resume. Declining or cancelling maintenance, missing a renewal payment, or redirecting DNS does not automatically initiate a website transfer. Your website remains parked until maintenance resumes or a transfer is completed.
Website Transfers and Termination
You may request a website transfer at any time by signing a Website Transfer and Acknowledgment. Outstanding invoices must be resolved before the transfer is completed.
Ready Sites will transfer the website to your designated Wix account, provide any necessary DNS transition instructions, and remove its administrative access according to the transfer agreement. If you've already redirected DNS, no additional DNS transfer may be necessary.
Once the transfer is complete, previous service and management arrangements for that website will end. Any future work requires a new signed proposal or agreement.
Ready Sites may also initiate termination with at least 30 days' written notice and will coordinate the transfer of the website and any DNS still under its management. A parked website will not be intentionally deleted without notice and a reasonable opportunity to arrange its transfer, except where required by law or circumstances outside Ready Sites' control.
Project Cancellations and Refunds
Either party may cancel an unfinished design or development project with 14 days' written notice, including email. You pay for all hours worked through the cancellation date at the agreed rate, with your deposit applied toward that amount. If work exceeds the deposit, the balance is due within 14 days. If the deposit exceeds the work completed, the unused amount is refunded within 30 days. Ready Sites provides completed work as required by the signed proposal.
Cancelling an unfinished project is separate from cancelling monthly maintenance or requesting a completed website transfer.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing content and images you have the right to use, sharing necessary access credentials, reviewing work, responding to questions, and maintaining your own copies of important files. You are also responsible for keeping your domain registration, hosting, and necessary third-party subscriptions active and paid.
Project timelines are estimates and depend on timely content, feedback, and access. Delays may extend completion dates.
Accessibility and Policy Pages
Ready Sites designs websites with the goal of meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards but does not guarantee conformance nor compliance, or freedom from accessibility-related claims.
Privacy policies, terms of use, and accessibility statements prepared by Ready Sites use standard templates and information you provide. These pages are not a substitute for legal advice, and Ready Sites cannot guarantee that they meet all of the requirements that apply to you.
You are responsible for the content you or others add to your site, understanding applicable requirements, and maintaining your website when no maintenance services are active.
Warranties and Liability
Ready Sites cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free websites, perfect third-party functionality, or specific traffic, sales, or business results. We are not responsible for problems caused by third-party platforms or services, or for maintenance and repairs during periods when maintenance is inactive.
Readysites.studio and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and policies.
To the extent permitted by law, Ready Sites is not liable for lost profits, indirect damages, or consequential losses. Our total liability for claims involving client services is limited to amounts paid for the project or service concerned as of the claim date, unless a signed agreement provides otherwise. For maintenance claims, liability is limited to maintenance fees paid in the preceding three months.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. For project or service disputes, both parties agree to try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be decided in the courts of Cass County, Minnesota, unless an applicable signed agreement or governing law requires otherwise.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only as necessary, and the remaining Terms will remain in effect. Failure to enforce any provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Changes to These Terms
Ready Sites may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of readysites.studio after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated website-use terms. Changes do not automatically modify existing signed client agreements.
